Bethel United Methodist has been blessed with many gifted ministry leaders. However, by far, one of the most distinguished is that of Moses E. Spahr, who served our little church from 1910 to 1912.

Preaching from the late 1800's to 1925, Moses was a determined voice for the Lord during the taming of the West. He served in Ohio, Kansas, Iowa, and Oregon. Moses is the grandfather of CEO, Standard Oil of Ohio, Mr. Charles E. Spahr. Charlie Spahr was key man in the building of the Alaskan Pipeline.
